Tasting Notes

The 2015 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru is the one wine from a contracted parcel that the domaine has complete autonomy over for the next ten years, ergo, it is farmed biodynamically like the rest of the vines. It has a vivacious bouquet with redcurrant jelly, maraschino and blood orange with fine mineralité interwoven throughout. The palate is medium-bodied with fine delineation, supple tannin, a touch of savoriness towards the finish with impressive persistence. This must surely be located in a propitious sector of the famous walled vineyard: it is an outstanding Clos de Vouget. Neal Martin
