Very deep purple/red colour, bold and bright and young. There is a lot of perfumed oak and lifted blueberry fruit to sniff, and the wine is very bright and attractive now although it's obviously built to age, and will do so beautifully. The tannins are ample but fine and soft enough to drink young. Refreshing acidity. Intense flavour, long finish. A crackerjack young red wine. Huon Hooke
