Similar in style to the 2000, with oak sitting slightly above the fruit and an obvious generousity to it. It’s bright purple in colour. It boasts liqueured blackberry and chocolate flavour. The tannins are chalky, but utterly sophisticated. And there are traces of mint and tobacco, herbs and spices, particularly as the wine opens up.
