The colour is a medium-deep ruby with flecks of brick-red, the bouquet smoky licorice and preserved plums. Traces of roasting meats as it warmed in the glass. There is very good intensity of flavour and balance, with ample soft, fine but persistent tannins and a low level of dosage relative to most sparkling shirazes. Good length and balance.
