Crafted from the close-planted Isle Vineyard in Glaziers Bay, the 2024 Intrigue reflects a Huon Valley season marked by low yields and tiny berries, which successfully infused the fruit with remarkable concentration and structural authority. Named after the historic racing yacht secretly built in the winery's shed, this cuvée offers a slightly lighter-framed, more hedonistic counterpart to the flagship Isle bottling.

In the glass, it shows a youthful purple tone and an expressive aromatic profile defined by a smoky reduction.

The palate is remarkably intense and medium-bodied, driving forward with dark cherry, anise, and layered spice flavours that culminate in a substantial, expanding finish of licorice and black cherry. In a glowing 97-point evaluation for The Real Review, wine critic Huon Hooke lauded this cool-climate release as "a powerhouse of a pinot" with "concentration and poise aplenty".
