Tasting Notes

Only the second release. Made from a small planting (four rows!) of clone 95. Barrel fermented in barriques (50% new). The Carrodus Chardonnay showing a bit more of everything than the very good Yarra Yering Chardonnay this vintage. More concentrated and structured. Saline and savoury. Real weight and texture but without any excess or heaviness. I love that touch of grip, too, on the long, chalky finish. Needs time. Excellent. 50 dozen made. – 97pts, James Halliday Wine Companion
