Crafted by winemaker Samantha Connew from her estate in Tasmania, this exceptional vintage seamlessly captures a cool-climate sense of place through highly sophisticated, dimensional winemaking. The wine presents a bright ruby appearance accented by purple tints, opening with a very attractive waft of reduction and turned earth that lies nicely simpatico with a plethora of dark fruits, sarsaparilla, growing moss, and curry spice aromas.

On the palate, a thoughtful 25% whole-bunch component introduces an intricate matrix of woodsy spices like sandalwood, cumin, clove, and raw cocoa, working in complete harmony with ripe black cherry, plum, and raspberry fruit layers.

The mouthfeel is defined by brilliant balance and tension, where fine minerality, a touch of dark chocolate, and notes of blood orange and Campari interlock with fine, focusing tannins and a vibrant line of acidity.
